Just got an Asus MK241H. 2ms response, web cam, usb mic, hdmi port, 3000:1 contrast ratio and blah blah. £340. Pretty sweet. The built-in speakers wont win any bass awards, but they're clear and more than loud enough, I'm very chuffed with it visually.

Re: 24" TFT - Low MS

shouldn't you be more interested in the panel type, PVA, TN, IPS and such.. anything below 10ms isnt noticeable anyhow (unless you have super eyes).

some manufacturers have technologies on the screens that claim to improve various features, but in reality a lot of them turn out to look like poop with the features turned on.

(you should know this already because of all the various threads on this subject around hexus, and you being a mod in said sections)

if you really want to know the one with the highest ms then i'll go have a look.

    -------------

    theres this 24" iiyama PLE2403WS-B1 2ms

    this 24" HyundaiIT W240D 2ms

    and this 24" Asus MK241H 2ms.

all found within 5 minutes on scans webby.

Definitely look at the panel type, if you're buying something other than TN then the input lag becomes a much bigger issue than the grey to grey response time.

My word, I wish comparisons like this would just die
The eye sees in a discreet manor, so statements like this are just silly. Its the same as the fabled "The eye can't see more than 30FPS" non-sense

I am more than aware of panel types (My job revolves around image work, both 2D and 3D), but like I said, I'm just want to know the lowest response time panel out there currently. Although thanks for trying to make me aware of them

Thanks aidanjt, just the kinda thing I was looking for

but it's still valid because of the way they achive the very low responce time, namely by adding flicker to a non-flickering monitor.

It's not valid. You can not say "The eye can't see over X FPS / Y Milliseconds", it simply doesn't work like that. Not only is everyone different but as I previously said, the eye sees in a discrete fashion.

Can we please keep this on topic as opposed to another thread being derailed into a 'how many FPS can the eye see' type thread?

Re: 24" TFT - Low MS

sorry agent.. I'm in a strange mood lately. i'll try and refrain from strange posts.. my self moderation has gone a bit screwy lately, might have to spend some time away from HEXUS to calm myself down..

cant seem to find any less than 2ms though.

Yeah, I think 2ms is as low as it can go with current technology.
