    Glaciator

Hi,i have been looking at 4850 & 3850 etc GFX cards.Considered the Asus ones, but not sure how thick the Glaciator Fan & HS makes the card.I don't have a card above GFX slot, but mobo connector is close,so it would be useful to know what the distance is,from PCB to outer edge of Fan housing etc.
    Any info appreciated.

    Re: Glaciator

Looks like typical dual slot width maybe a touch less to me. Easiest way to measure would be to measure the width of two PCI blanking plates. Should give you a rough idea.

    Re: Glaciator

Hi,thanks for that.Only thing i have to go on,is someone posted a pic of a 8800GT,with a glaciator on it.Pic was a edge shot with a DVD case held on bottom of card.Scaling Pic,DVD(15mm thick)etc to PCB to top of Fan.Top of PCB to top of Glaciator Fan,came to 28.42mm.I was thinking dist on most cards with a Glaciator would be about the same(chip thickness not being much).Be nice to have a actual measurement thou

    Cheers BOB

ps bet 28.4mm,is not far off your thinking.
