XFX GTX260 XT or Inno3D GTX 260 standard

    hey
im thinking about getting a GTX260 gfx card for my new build which has Quad Q6600, 2GB 1066mhz RAM and NZXT LEXA BlackLine case with 700 Watt FSP SPU.

Im looking at 2 cards at the moment, the XFX GTX260 XT for £160 or Inno3D GTX260 for £130. I know the OC version of the Inno3D card uses a zalman type cooler so does anyone know if the standard version will have it? Also is the XFX pre OCed card worth the extra?

Lastly, will I have any problems OCing and cooling problems with that case?

    Thanks

Make sure that you get the 216 shader version and not the 192 shader version which is slower.

Re: XFX GTX260 XT or Inno3D GTX 260 standard

yes both are the 216 versions.
Which one would you go for? Would the Inno3D OC well and is that case good enough for OCed q6600 and OC GTX260?

Re: XFX GTX260 XT or Inno3D GTX 260 standard

If that's the standard gtx260 it'll probably have the stock cooler on it, which are very good.
One thing nvidia do well is there stock coolers, one of the reasons you see so few non-stock coolers on nvidia cards.

As to if it will fit, umm I'm guessing yes but I'm not sure
Simple way is to measure the insides of your case, the gtx260 is 270mm long

Re: XFX GTX260 XT or Inno3D GTX 260 standard

sorry for the late reply Hermans
nah I not got any yet. Going to order the BFG GTX260 OC I think or the Gainward GTX260 OC. The BFG has stock cooler and 10 year warrenty and £15 more while Gainward one year warrenty and aftermarket cooler.

I'd go for the BFG, a 10 year warranty is worth £15.

Re: XFX GTX260 XT or Inno3D GTX 260 standard

I liked the look of both of them but eventually decided to go with an XFX XT version. Been sweet so far but need to make a few upgrades to fully test it out. The 10 year warranty is sweet though.

Re: XFX GTX260 XT or Inno3D GTX 260 standard

I went for the BFG GTX 260 OC Maxcore. its not OCed as much as the XFX but I heard it can go easy to 700hmz core. I heard alot of bad things about the xfx build quality and CS so didnt wanna take a chance.
