4850 X2 cards are very cheap at the moment !

Im slightly tempted by getting one of these as ARMA II is killing my Pc

How much difference is there between the 1gb and 2GB? im guessing its not enough to warrant the price? I play at 1280x768 so im guessing that it wouldn't make to much difference. .

As cat said the difference is quite big. However at your res, I dont see why you need to upgrade atm as single 4870 should be able to handle it quite well.

I agree as my overclocked HD4830 was OK at 1280x800 with the demo so an HD4870 should be fine at around that resolution.
