    Calling 4850X2 Owners!

Ok, this card is tempting me....and has been for a while. Tbh, the ONLY thing that puts me off is people refering to it being noisey.

So, basically is this thing much noiser than a 4890 for example? Would it be noiser than my BFG 8800GT OC2? I assume its possible to control the fan speeds on it?

Now, you may be sitting there going, "how will he hear it when gaming?", now the simple fact is that I dont care. However my main PC is my my living room, and if it gets noiser, then I will get nagged at by the missus...which will cause me agro (not worth it).

Any opinions are welcome on the card.

uber power card but a few minor driver issues in some games.

4890 is fairly quiet, but not as quiet at your 8800...those have a great cooler design. I have no idea about a 4850X2 but my guess from reviews is that it's a little noisier and adjusting the speed of the fan is a bit of a recipe for a hot card

However...if I had a large enough case I'd have purcased one.. sod the noise.. frame rate is where it's at and with crossfire, you've got lots of memory, lots of power and lots of framerate
