Asus 9800 Pro Vs Asus 9800 Xt

Hi everyone. Just a quick question for ya. I am just about to purchase a Asus 9800 pro with 256DDR, but am curious to know what the difference is between this card and the Asus 9800 xt???

I am paying $350 US dollars for the 9800 pro, and the xt is $466 US dollars.

Are there any major performance differances between them? Any feedback would be greatly helpful.

The 9800XT is the faster of the two cards, however, in my opinion, not $116 dollars faster. The 9800 pro is a fantastic card, and easily capable of everything on the market for the time being, and forseeable future.

Most cards are the same, manufacturers tend only to vary on the type of memory used, and the cooling system for the chip. Some have additional features for overclocking the cards already installed. Check the package features, and compare against other similarly priced to see if you get anything extra from this one.

The xt is only 8% faster so probably not worth the $116 extra...
