Right.
At the moment I have a Sharp 16" TFT monitor, and I think it's great. However, recently I've been looking at LCD TVs because I need more space in my room. However, after deciding that the spec of some monitors was as good as a lot of LCD TVs (despite what the TV makers say), I've decided that the best thing to do is to upgrade my current TFT to something bigger, buy a TV card, and double it up. If anyone can give me some specifics as to why an LCD TV is better than a monitor, I'd really like to know.
Few questions:
Anyone running a TV card in 1280 x1024? I read somewhere that some graphics cards can struggle to cope with this. Is this right? I have a Ge4Ti 4200 and will be upgrading it this summer.
I need a recommendation for a new TFT. Requirements: needs to be 19", black or silver, look damn sexy (with a slim bezel), 25ms or less response time, have DVI input, good spec and not be beyond about £500.
So far these two look the best:
Sharp
Samsung
The Sharp has the better spec and having owned one before I know they're decent. However, I've heard people say good things about the Samsungs too.
Does anyone know if there are any 19" monitors with the 16ms response time?
Would really appreciate some help
