    Help me choose TFT

I know there's been many threads on TFT's and I've done plenty of researching and searching on forums but I can't decide between these 2 montiers which are equally priced and have a great response time. So which should I get?

    The
Hitachi CML174SXWB 17" TFT Monitor (Carbon)
    Or the
LG Flatron L1710B 17" TFT Monitor

Please only suggest another if it has a good response time and similarily priced.

Or should I wait for the new Samsungs?

From what i've seen its a choice between if you play games much more i think the extra 4ms response time might well be worth it and therefore go for the hitachi, if you don't spend as much time playing game the contrast rating, brightess and colour quality of the LG is much better than the Hitachi.

Plus which would look better in your room? (think you can get black hitachi's now too?)

I love my Hitachi and woudln't swap it.
I'm even toying with buying a second one now they've come down in price. I paid £430 for mine some time ago.

    Bindi?.

    LG 1710B specs

That spec still says 20ms?, i would be suprised if something as fundemental as that changed for a screen without a re-release of it?

Neither! Get the samsung monitor, I heard that they are a lot better than either of those two.

You sir, are speaking a load of rubbish.

Samsungs are currently worse for gaming. The new Samsungs which are not released yet will be on par with, say, the Hitachi, except that they will be more aesthetically pleasing.

Mines the LG1710B(U) and i was quoted 350cd/m2, 500:1 and 16ms. Some sites come out with 350, 450:1 and 16 or 20 too. Tbh, i dont know. Thats the first time ive seen specs on an LG site though. Im gonna check the manual when i get home, but i cant help being told what i was told before
Its the american site though, the european version might be different?? I dont know. Im gonna check my manual when i get home and post back.

I want one. was gonna go for the NEC 1760NX in about 2 weeks (payday!). I might wait if something better is coming, and TBH I havent looked at the Hitachi yet. Do any of these 3 monitors have obvious advantages, or is the choice down to personal preferance and aesthetics?
