xfx 6870 and one 6pin plug

i just got an xfx 6870, problem is my psu only has one power plug for it , can i run this gfx card with one power plug in it?
my crunet psu id an ocz 500W stealth stream 2.

It won't work with one pooooer plug AFAIK.

If so you have 2 18A rails. (12x18=) 216W from each rail. IMO this may end up shafting you.

The card will draw a max of 195W with upto 60W coming from the motherboard.

You can use the splitter but make sure it draws off the other rail to the one your Mobo is using. Is your CPU a c2 140W version? If so it may start getting hairy and I hope you have one of the better FSP units!

Eeeek I read it as 5870.

Your 6870 will pull 160W max!
