I ordered one directly from Ati so hmmm. This card should prove for atleast a year or two with all the top notch games right? Christmas time is when new things come out, every 6 months, i'll just sell this card then buy the latest.

I ordered the card a few days ago, but they had to check with my card company manually so that the address is registered. I didnt think it was going to work, so I told them to cancel my order last night, I go to my inbox in my mail this afternoon and fince a notice from newegg.com . I click it and it says shipped, i click shipped and it gives me the FedEx history, it says DELIVERED. I was like woah what the hell. When I didnt think the CC was going to go through I bought a 256mb through ATi which I do not know the details about right now because their support is horrible. Anyways, I have a Gigabyte here, just having a few probs installing in my new 2.4C

But that's a 256MB card... I can't see any reason I should blow extra money on something that is not needed for the foreseeable future...

The stating the obvious award goes to..............

its pointless imo, just another way for ati and nvidia to take the high end video card war up a level, 128mb of FASTER memory would be better imo, coupled with a higher clock speed

    Less is more

And that clearly isn't the point... OEMs want to maintain their margins.
