Are there any decent (16ms) flat panels which are widescreen, rather than the traditional 4:3 format? It seems laptops are getting wide screens, and desktops are being left behind.

This one looks quite good at £420 inc, though I'm not sure how good it is. It is widescreen with 16ms response though, so that's a good start!
Has some good reviews on Ciao...

I'd have a look for the Samsung 172W, it got brilliant reviews when I looked at it.
When I was looking a while back for monitors I came across this model. As Atomic says, it was received great reviews and it certain looks amazing. PCWorld/Dixons stock them, if you want to see one in the flesh. The only thing I'd say is that whilst it is a 17" screen, you're only getting the height of a 15" monitor, so in terms of overall area, you're paying a high price. That said, they are very cool, and considering the number of games/DVDs etc that support widescreen, it may be well worth it.Originally Posted by Atomic
