Tosk, that 9800pro is a pro

the bus width gives it away pal

    also

also i got a Sapphire 9800pro lite from ocuk so saying yours is not a pro is bs tbh pal

it's only not a pro in my eyes when the mem bus width is 128bit and not 256bit

    hmm

Apex, you can get none pros with 256bit rate so i dont know what your on about lol, sorry i had to say that, dont take it the wrong way tho

i only posted the info here so others new & to help out :/

    ---
    ATI 9800 Pro 380Core/340mem 256Mbit Memory Interface
ATI 9800 (Non Pro) 325Core/290mem 256Mbit Memory Interface

In my eyes its not a Pro when its runnning at Default Non-Pro Speeds with Non-Pro 3NS Memory when i paid for a Pro. Its being returned as we speak and then I can pick up a real 9800Pro running at the correct speed.

Tosk is 100% right. 9800non pros ONLY have 256bit mem, and the clock speeds are around 325/290-310 (speeds are same as 9700pro, iirc, so 290mhz ram is because its a powercolor)

Only 9800SE versions have 128bit mem.

microirect should change there site to indicate it is a nonpro.

I purchased a 9800 non pro 324/290 last year so that card is wrongly advertised as a 9800pro which should be 380/340. Some cards badged as 9800pro cards hit retail with the 128bit memory interface which I find very disturbing.

I go to a car showroom and buy a Skoda 1.9Tdi and I receive a Skoda 1.4Tdi with a 1.9Tdi badge on the back is clearly wrong. What makes graphics cards any different? Trade discriptions and false advertising by ATI and their partners IMO.
