2GB Gainward GTX 680 Phantom vs Asus GTX680 Direct CU2 TOP

Which of the two above cards would you consider being the better one? Peformance wise they should be the same, just trying to decide beased on which has the better cooler build quality etc.

    Let me know your thoughts!

Re: 2GB Gainward GTX 680 Phantom vs Asus GTX680 Direct CU2 TOP

    Haha no problamo.

I had a GTX570 Phantom, and I was very impressed, great temps and noise.
Personally never owned a CU2, but a friend who had a GTX580 CU2, while pleased with the temps, wasn't that pleased with the noise.

I've decided I want to go for an 680 and have narrowed it down to these two.

4GB GTX 670 - it's cheaper and unless your gaming over 3 monitors//really high resolution you won't even see any difference.

Hi Spartan, there is probably not much between the two cards, if you have a chance to see them in a store demo'd that may be the best way to decide.
They are both reliable and well built, and with past models, I struggled to find a difference.

Thanks Bo Petersen....i know its difficult to decide....Asus seems to be a more established company overall but I might go with the one that has the better price and warranty in the end.

I would wait when MSI produce their famous Lightning series, very cool and very overclockable
