Tottenham Court Road?
PCWORLD, have they got them in-store as well as on the website yet?

I could go to tottenham court road, but from looking at the shops websites.. it seems like they only order them in.
Hmm yeah ive noticed that FINALLY pcworld has stopped ripping us off. Their online components shop seems to have alot of gear at quite good prices. Makes me wonder aswell richdog if they will be having the card in store or not.
T.C. Rd.? Well, if you fancy being ripped-off price wise...
Just use PCW component center. Mine turned up inside 24 hours from them. And far, far cheaper than a high street shop.

Mate I tell you what, I swear by PCWORLD component centre now. To say I was gobsmacked when I saw their new site is an understatement. Seems like they've finally realized that if they want to stay in business they're going to have to compete at a serious level. In fact im so impressed I almost feel like writing them the first letter of congratulations i've ever written to a company, lol.

Didn't even know they had a new site! Just popped across and had a look.Originally Posted by Richdog
It's OK, but certainly not up to the better enthusiast sites out there. Product range is still a bit limited, and the naviagation is poor: drill down to a product type and you get a face full of 'Top Deals' (i.e. things you are not interested in) before the product listings; and then the product listings just seem to be randomly organised (i.e. not by price, manufacturer, etc.) so you have to wade through the whole lot. They also have no user-selectable sorts on these lists. Still, they do have a Search function, which might help in some cases. As I said, it's an OK site, but it could be much, much better. Still, it's nowhere near as bad as Dixons (their parent company) main site, .
I do wish they would make this site work in conjunction with their shops, though, rather than being a completely separate business. If you could order stuff and have it delivered to one of their stores for collection (and you pay for it at the store when you do collect) that would be the real icing on the cake. No more coming home to 'We tried to deliver a parcel today while you were out...' cards! :-)

Hah ive lost count of the amount of those cards I get, bugs the hell out of me. I work during normal delivery times so have to take the morning off or something, most frustrating.
But PCWORLD component centre has got some crazy cheap prices on graphics cards, namely the 6800GT, and had stock in before ANYWHERE else, now thats a fricken achievement for a new company, especially one part of the 'Dick'sons group. Sit nav could be better I agree, but as long as they produce the goods i'll overlook it.

Not really a new company & I wouldn't be surprised if it is MicroWarehouse in disguise these days ...Originally Posted by Richdog
Well, new website I meant, wrong wording.
And MicroWarehouse.. did they go bust and Dixons could have bought them out or something? Never used em.
