Recommendations on a Geforce GTX 670

In my mind I'm currently deciding between going for the EVGA GTX 670 FTW and the EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW Signature 2 cards.

I know the only real difference is the cooler, but do you reckon its worth it?

Alternatively do you have any alternative recommendations for cards around this price?

    Thanks in advance.

I'd suggest the MSI power edition, which is cheaper and better. Or either of the cheap Gigabyte models.

Do MSI have a good track record? How's there RMA policy in your experience?

Mine has always worked flawlessly so I don't know, but they are a top tier company afaik.

Gigabyte 670, the thing is silent below 40% fan speed, you don't even need to go to that speed, I keep mine at 35% at all times and the temp's never go above 65c on BF3.

Any specific model? I've been reading up on the Windforce version, worth the money? - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-g...58mhz-cores-13

Re: Recommendations on a Geforce GTX 670

I can't recommend a specific card but I can tell you; avoid GTX670s with reference coolers.

If you search the internet for user experiences of reference GTX670s you'll find many complaints regarding fan noise and I'm about to add one to that myself, my own PoV GTX670 reference card, emits an annoying sort of muffled clicking sound from the fan, akin to bad bearings when the card comes out of idling speeds.

EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW Signature 2 buy it and don't look back, best warranty of the lot. Just as good cooling as the MSI and quiet!

The MSI card is the quietest of the lot. I can't find a direct comparison with the Signature card, but I simply don't believe that EVGA, who mainly use reference blower designs, can rival the top end coolers from MSI and Gigabyte.

I'd bet on the Twin Frozr III being a better cooler than the EVGA model, the Twin Frozr IV and Windforce 3X models are another step above.

Go msi they have the best cooling of the cards and you can record games with msi afterburner, if that kind of thing interests you at all. Not sure if you can record with msi afterburner with non-msi cards.

+1 for EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW Signature 2. Great card and EVGA are known for their great aftersales service.

i would say the signature 2 edition mainly for the aesthetics and of course the cooling that comes with it.
