GTX 560 Ti stopped working?

Hi,

Today I was on my pc playing a game as per usual and my computer randomly turn off like I had unplugged it, when I turned it back on again the pc booted all light and fans booted but the display was blank also my keyboard 3 lights come on for about 3seconds the turn off, as I have the CM storm trigger it normally has to boot with the PC and I also have the tron mouse which as people will know makes a noise when it boots and lights up but this doesn't happen like the PC isn't getting past BOIS, I've tried resetting all hardware and unplugging all outputs nothing worked

My motherboard has no on board gpu so I put in an old Radeon HD 3450 and it worked straight away, now I'm about 99.99% sure my 560Ti is dead and will try it in a mates PC tomorrow but just wanted to know if anyone els has had this and solved it as something els ?

Asus Gtx 560Ti
8gb 1600Mhz ram
MSI P67A-GD53 motherboard
128GB M4 SSD
500GB HDD

I would check your PSU PCI-e 6 pin power connectors to see if they are working as the HD3450 takes power from your motherboard and not from the 6 pin pci-e connectors......

also try resetting the bios by taking out the cmos battery it will reset everything back to default settings

Hey,

Just an update on the situation, I had tested the PSU and its fine all 6pin connectors are working and also tried the 560ti in another PC and still didnt work so 100% its dead......

Although!!! I contacted the reseller and had no warranty left on my card as its 2years old now, so I contacted trading standards and was told as the card failed and this couldn't be avoided or effect by the user (me) then I have a full right to get a refund, replacement or voucher as the card isn't fit for it long term use as it is meant to. So I contacted amazon and told them I had spoke to trading standard they instantly put onto a manager who appolagised for the fault and offered a courier to pick my gpu up and a full refund as they had non in stock!! This is epic news and now I can get £180 back plus the 560Ti refurbished in £125 now good times
