Thumbs up UK BFG 6800GT OC back in stock

Just ordered my BFG 6800GT from PCW Components:
    http://www.pcwcomponentcentre.co.uk/...fgr68256gtocuk

Wonder how long it will be in stock...

I hope its as good as everyone keeps saying and that going back to NVidia again will work out

I was waiting for Dabs to get more Inno3d 6800GT's in stock cos they're only £250 inc vat (expected 1-2 weeks) but I think I'm gonna get this now, looks very nice. Although, all the reviews show the card with a reference style heat sink & fan which is a bit odd.

The new BFG custom cooler reputedly doesn't cool as well as the reference one & hence the cards don't overclock quite as well. On the bright side you get a blue pcb now.

Where did you hear about the custom one not cooling as well as the reference one?

On various US forums where supply of BFG cards is somewhat better than in the UK & they've had the new cooler for a while.

I did a search for this and quite a few ppl are saying it doesn't cool as well, but also many are saying it cools just fine and is quieter as well. Unless someone can test both cards in the exact same system, we're left guessing. I don't think it matters too much, just get some Arctic Silver on there and it should be ok
