What's your max budget? If your budget is under £200 I'd go for the Asus GTX 670 at Overclockers for £189.95, if there are any left when you see this. It'd give you a huge boost in games, 50% plus.

Re: 560 ti its old or not?

Which games is it too slow in?

What power supply do you have?

I am still happy with my 460, only upgrade when you have to as there is always something better coming up.

Re: 560 ti its old or not?

What resolution do you game at?

Has it started struggling in the games you like, with the settings turned up?

There are some bargains out there at the moment, but only upgrade if you need to.

Re: 560 ti its old or not?

I've got a 560ti as well. I had a look at upgrading, but wanted to double the performance. The 670 is about that, and has come down in price. If you're happy to spend ~£200 on a graphics card then it's time. What CPU are you running? You don't want to spend all that money just to end up with a performance bottleneck elsewhere.

I'm waiting for something sub £150 (and the rest of my system needs upgrading first).

Re: 560 ti its old or not?

There's no point upgrading for the sake of it, but if it doesn't have the oomph for you to be able to play your games the way you want to, then it purely depends on budget and the specs of the rest of your system

Re: 560 ti its old or not?

I've been so tempted with these recent price drops but, as others have said, I'm not finding any games my GTX570 can't cope with at 1080p. I'd imagine your 560ti will be absolutely fine for a while yet. Have you tried overclocking it a bit?

Re: 560 ti its old or not?

As above I have seen some good deals. But as I game @1080 resolution the 560ti i have still works well for me and what I play.

Personally I will wait and see what comes out games wise & if I need to then look to upgrade the gfx card.

As it stands atm I have no real need too.

Depends how much you value the highest settings, if it really bothers you then upgrade but that card should be good enough for good settings on most games. You'd have to spend a lot to get a really big boost in performance.

Re: 560 ti its old or not?

A 670 would give a very big boost. In recent games like Crysis 3, Tomb Raider, etc. the 560 Ti isn't good enough for 1080p.

But obviously, if all the games played run fine at 1080p an upgrade is pointless.

Even with those games he'd just need to lower the settings and it should be fine. A lot of the eye candy in new games like bloom etc. can put a hit on performance without adding much to the game. In some cases they can be more of an annoyance.

Since the OP has stated he wants to play at ultra presets then I'd agree the GTX 670 would be a very good option especially considering its current price. Plus he can sell the 560Ti to offset some of the expense.

I'm wondering if the GPU is being bottlenecked by the Q9300. You might see better performance from the 560Ti just by upgrading the CPU/Mobo/RAM.

Is the CPU at stock clocks? £40-£50 on a AIO or high end HSF might be a decent investment, allowing you to overclock it; assuming your mobo supports overclocking.
