    LG 1730b

I have been trying to find somewhere with the LG1710b in stock with not much luck. It seems that the replacement 1730b is now available in quantity from some places. Anyone know much about this monitor? Googling doesn't turn up much and the LG site only has base specs (similar to other 12ms panels) and some quite small pics which have left me undecided on its aesthetics.

As an alternative I was considering the Samsung 172X... Should I hang on and see what reviewers make of the new LG screen?

I just ordered LG1730B for my new PC. I quite like this model since it has higher contrast ratio, 12ms, DVi input, height adjt and tilted. The price is also quite reasonable.

I recommended one of these to my friend - they are much nicer than the 1710B (I have one) whilst having considerably better specifications and a smaller footprint. I think the Samsung panels (although I haven't checked recently) are still considerably more expensive for similar specifications (even though they do get rave reviews).

This monitor does not have a uniform 12ms response time. It's more like 25ms - 30ms.
