    LG L1730B Info needed please

Hi all. First time posting on here, though I've been a voyuer for quite some time

I'm looking to buy a mid-high end TFT monitor, mostly for gaming, and after reading many reviews and threads (mostly on this forum), I finally decided on the LG L1710B. However, when shopping around to see where I could get one from, I had a hard time finding the model listed - I guess its being phased out to make way for the new version, which leads me on to my main question.

Is the L1730B the replacement model for the L1710B? Looking at the specs, they seem about the same, it has DVI, and its about the same sort of price at £260ish. It looks totally different, which makes me think its the new range LG have released. You can see it listed at ebuyer here.

Another question linked to the L1730B is that ebuyer, and others, list it as being 16ms, but on the LG site, its listed as having a 12ms repsonse time ---> here. Anyone know which is correct?

Ok my last question, promise I also spotted an LG L1715S for £203 from ebuyer. Apart from not having DVI, it looks to have great specs. I will more than likely be using an X800 PRO, or XT PE (not decided yet), so I want a TFT that will do it justice and give me the best possible picture. In this case, would the extra £60 for DVI be worth it or is the difference in quality from Analogue negligable?

Thanks for any help and advice you guys can give me.

Hi, I have the 1730B. It has a thicker bezel than the 1710B and higher contrast. Response time is ....can't remember.... but I remember it is the same as the 1710B.
And it is fekkin good for games, I guarantee you!

Vertical viewing angles are so-so, but it has height adjust.

Unless you need height adjust, I would say you should try and find the 1710B cause it looks cuter. But otherwise, I don't think you will be disappointed with the 1730B
