I know... I sent back my 280X and was thinking about holding out for a custom cooled 290.

    Re: Which GPU??

    Honestly OP,just re-use your HD7950.

I just think you have been beset by upgradetitus. OcUK forums is really good at making people upgrade,so I would be careful reading too much into what they are saying.

I would ditch your In Win Dragon Slayer and get a case with better soundproofing like a Fractal R4 or a Define Mini,or even soundproof your current case.

    It will be far cheaper.

    Re: Which GPU??

I ended up getting the 'Asus R9 280X DirectCUII TOP' as it appears to be one of the better 280X cards out there (my first ever Asus card too!). I like the In Win case, except the name "Dragon Slayer" which is so cheesy it makes me cringe! It's definitely one of the better mATX cases i've come across in it's price range when it comes to ventilation/cooling, build quality and space. It's much better than the NZXT Vulcan I had before with it's cheap and nasty build quality!

Anyway, i'll keep my current PC as it is until I build a whole new one (maybe in a year or so)... Will wait and see what Intel and AMD surprise (or disappoint) us with next .

    Re: Which GPU??

7990 is a very compelling option at around £400 now
