GPU usage fluctuates 50% - 98%. FPS 20-80

I just received my 760 GTX and I fired up Borderlands 2 and I am getting really strange frame rates they drops with my GPU usage. It will go as low as 50% then my frames tank. What can cause this? My CPU is a Q6600 and I have 4 gigs of ram. I was reciving constant frame rates on my 275 GTX. Could this be a bottle neck of some sort? I always thought a bottle neck would be constant...

Most likely it will be something using the CPU (perhaps some driver issue), monitor you CPU when you next see the GPU usage drop and check the CPU utilisation. As for why it would happen with this card and not another I don't know, unless you upped the graphics settings (higher resolution or AA) and you are only now exposing the CPU bottleneck
