    Best Non Reference 770

So, i've been stuck without a gfx card for the past month. PC came with some crappy AMD 7850 by VTX3D that bluescreened 24/7. I got it RMA'd last year and the issue returned until i removed the card completely. AMD drivers were also bugging alot for me, causing bluescreens, so this time round i'm opting for NVIDIA, i've lost all trust in AMD after seeing how common driver bluescreen issues are.

Now i've been looking around and it seems like the top 3 non reference 770's are the Asus Direct CU II, MSI lightning and Gigabyte windforce. Does anybody have experience with any of the versions? I'm not sure which one to opt for, everybody says they're basically the same.

I've got an Asus 760.Honestly, it's okay. Gets quite loud under load. Can't comment on others as never owned them.

I'd go evga if I'm honest

It's not length of warranty, it's how good it is

The Gigabyte is probably the best value with a great cooler and near enough the best overclock out of the box.

It would be between that and the EVGA ACX superclocked for me because I know how well the coolers perform while staying quiet.

The MSI Twin Frozr and Asus Direct CU II offerings are just behind these in my opinion.

For noise levels the twin frozr destroys the windforce (4-5dB at load), at least that was the case with the ones I listened to in a shop. In terms of performance they are all extremely similar, especially if you do a bit of overclocking yourself.

The Gainward GTX770 Phantom is definitely worth a look. Great cooler, removable fans which make cleaning easier. Runs cool and quiet. Reviews usually show it having really good OC'ing potential as well.

    Re: Best Non Reference 770

I think the MSI, Asus and GB are worth the most but I would buy the one that is on the best deal. EVGA is great but I think their 770 is just too expensive for what it offers. They are totally worth for everything above 770 though. The other very good budget option is the Jetstream from Palit. I would also always take a look in the other camp as well - 280X is usually better priced and performs similarly overall.
