    GPU dilemma - GTX750Ti vs R7 265 vs R9 270X ARGH!

I had made my part list and was pretty happy with this -
    http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/drag...u/saved/72WmP6

    Intel Core i7-4790 3.6GHz Quad-Core
    Asus Z97I-PLUS Mini ITX
    Corsair Vengeance LP 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600
    Crucial M550 512GB M.2 SSD
    Crucial MX100 512GB 2.5" SSD
Silverstone FT03B-MINI (Black) Mini ITX Tower
    Silverstone 450W SFX12V

So it's an ITX build and I was going to put in a Palit GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB KalmX just cause, the 750 was recommended by a friend, it fitted my price point nicely and at came with the added bonus of NO FAN and no need for external power cable (hooray for cable management)

BUT CAT on here on another thread mentioned the Radeon cards cause I will mostly be using the build for the Adobe suite and I would find a big gain using a card with OpenCL. EXCELLENT high quality advice from someone who saw my needs and listened!! So yes indeed there are advantages for me to go Radeon. I looked at the R7260x/265 set of cards and they suit pretty damn nicely and would be at a cheaper price point than my original planned card.

HOWEVER, now I'm thinking stick to the original price point and upgrade further to one of the basic R9 cards with a R9 270X GAMING 2G ITX card.
Now my head if fried and I feel lost.
Any advice? Save money or maybe go for a higher performance card and maybe not use it's potential?

If you will find a use for your new GPU beside gaming (the new card not just for leisure but semi-work as well) then go for it.

The more utilisation you find for it, then better value purchase it was for you!

    Quick search:

Palit Kalmx for around £120 inc P&P.

Sapphire 270x for £120 Inc P&P as well. However the AMD card can be up to 50% faster for no extra cost plus added benefit for your editing software.

The R9 270x card is £130 and would offer serious gains over the Palin card in Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Primier Pro and After Effects.

The Sapphire R7 265 should be more than enough TBH and is meant to be quiet:

But if you are not gaming,I suspect an R7 260X should be more than enough to get a decent speedup.

But then for only an extra £20 I can get a shorter card with only 1 fan and better performance again. Should I? Lol the other thing is that it's difficult to find gpu comparisons in Adobe programmes

I think I've talked myself into getting the 270x cause when I'm going to be spending £1200 what's another £20 lol

True - it could be one of those things where you wish you'd spent the extra few quid later on, and would happily put the difference to upgrading if you could.

Just go for one of the XFX cards maybe?

But you are using upright case, so u might want a blower design?
    Like this HIS one?
