GPU Low Mhz Lagging in everything help!

Just finished my custom loop watercooling everything went fine but got couple drops of water on my GPU took it out and wiped it dry not much water. Put it back in when started computer Tried BF4 graphics was set to low, normally can go on ultra or high, looked at MHz rinning at 135-300 very low normally way above that without making any tweaks on MSI afterburner.
Also tried Benchmarking was only going at 5-10 FPS low MHz again.

    Q:
Is it possible that i broke the card?
    Anything i can try?

    GPU: GTX 770

Re: GPU Low Mhz Lagging in everything help!

I was having an issue a while back where Chrome being open would lock the GPU at 2D clocks, lowering game performance. It's probably been sorted now but thought it worth checking.

Are the clocks set correctly in the GPU control panel?

135 is your power saving clock speed. The fact it gets out of these states and goes up to 300 probably points at other factors coming into play. Temps OK?

Re: GPU Low Mhz Lagging in everything help!

my core clokc won't go above 135mhz acording to afterburner but on benchmark says 400mhz, memory clock staying at 324 mhz if that makes a differnce. thought i might be lacking in power with putting custom loop in so plugged pump into external power supply and still have problem.

    Idle temp GPU : 27
    Idle temp CPU : 26

Re: GPU Low Mhz Lagging in everything help!

400 core is odd but memory at 324 points to not leaving power saving mode.

maybe the drivers have locked it for some reason? You restarted as you moved power adapters. It may be worth seeing if you change clocks overclock to 380 or something to be sure its not the drivers but the card. Nothing stressful to be safe. I have not oc'd modern NV cards so stay with me.

Maybe check vrm temps incase of wonkey blocks.

All sorted and working, managed to fix it, think the onboard graphics card was messing with it so disabled it then enabled. it works fine now. thanks for quick reply guys

You definitely reconnected the pcie power cables? I've done stuff like that before and had a similar experience.
