    The best 6600GT

I was wondering what was the best 6600GT, i guess there is not much differences in power but is there any other differences i should think about. They are all about the same price i think, at the moment i dont no weather to get the XFX or Gigabyte or MSI, is there anyother ones i should think about? I really like the bundle with the MSI. I think that the msi has no doom3 but the Gigabyte does, does the Gigabyte come with anything else? What does the XFX come with. If there are slight differences in power what is the best? And finaly is there one that is best for overclocking?

    Thanks

The Galaxy runs at 525 / 525 out of the box and is quite a bit quicker

The XFX runs at 500 mhz Core speed / 500 Mhz Memory Speed whereas the Galaxy has clocks of 525 / 525. To put it simply more MHz means more polygons per sec which means higher frame rate which means happy gaming. So faster is better

so does that mean that it is pre overclocked, are there anyother which are over the 500MHz core speed?

Well it means that they have set the clock speed and memory speed higher, which isn;t quite the same as overclocking as they are designed to run at that speed by default rather than being pushed over the normal limit...This also likely means that they have used chips that have been tested to work at higher spec than others that run at 500, it probably has uprated cooling as well and generally I would think would be a good purchase

There are quite few others based on a reference design but all run at slower clock speeds than this one. AGP cards are also about £30 more than PCX equivs due to the additional cost of the PCX > AGP bridge that has to be used

Same speed as the Galaxy 525/525 and you can't get it in the UK, well unless through ebay

the MSI one though has a quieter fan - apparently the xfx one gets knackered very rapidly... - and the MSI one has a heat sink that completely covers the ram chips rather than just the core or partial coverage,
