The 6700 GE is a good compromise.

ive seen some benchies, and at stock. the 6600gt is better, but with the 6800 you may be able to get it to unlock some pipes etc and that will make it better then the 6600. its a bit hit and miss though with the unlocking sides of things

Dunno about the LE, but the vanilla 6800 appears to unlock consistently with Rivatuner. As it costs about a fiver more than the LE, then I cannot see why anyone would get the LE.

The 6800 unlocked and clocked will go to GT stock performance easily, so you would be feeling lucky - that you didn't buy the 6600GT.

ill just say mi little bit,

i bought a 6800le and i wasn't dissapointed, i unlocked it to 12x1 6vp so more than a vanilla and the memory and gpu can go to higher frequencies

putting it in comparison i was able to get 9400 3dmarks03 whereas a 6600gt will get around 8000. however if the 6800le doesnt mod you will get around 6-7000 points!
however the benchies are not all

if you want the pc for multi use, and not just games, go for the 6600gt as video / dvd playback on the 6800 (any version) is pants! so be aware!
however the 6600gt aint that much different from a 9800pro so hope that helps, let us know what you are doing!

Where can you get an LE for £140? I know it's on Savastore for that price but there aren't any in stock. Where you can actually get it the lowest price is over £160.

    Cheapest 6800LE (£161+del.): http://komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?sku=303912&cks=PRL
    Cheapest 6800 (£175): http://www.lowestonweb.com/Products/...3-8A8D0253C1B2

These are the cheapest prices I can find from decent brands/shops.

Since the 6800LE and 6600GT seem to be the same sort of speeds, I'd go for the 6600GT since you can get it for less (£140). However, the extra £35 for a 6800 is, in my opinion, worth it.

My 6800LE was sub-£140 from order247.co.uk, and they still are, but I believe this company (= Demonite = Carrera SSC) is now in admin/bankruptcy proceedings?

You may not, therefore, wish to buy from them (although you'd be covered from loss if you pay with a credit card...)

At the price the LE is quite persuasive. If you ever get it...
