Asus Strix 1080 TI OC 11gb pre sales info

Hi,
Hope is posting in the correct area for this.
I am considering upgrading to the Strix 1080 TI OC 11 GB which does have a price tag of just under £800.00.
I'm kind of reluctant to spend this money as I have seen some reports on YouTube regarding excessive coil whine from these cards.
I've contacted Asus support to see if this is I widespread issue and they have been very helpful in there replies however, they have replied saying they have had a few emails regarding this issue it but nothing specific to the 1080. They also stated that it does not appear to be a widespread problem.
So I thought I would ask any you guys if you purchased this card and have had issues with coil whine?

I would check Asus forums or the reddit /r/pcmasterace page and ask there. I do have a 1080Ti put mines a FE card hope this helps

I've owned a GTX970 Strix and now use a GTX1080 Gaming X

Of the two cooling solutions I would probably opt for the Gaming X, both were excellent and 0 db when not under load, but the Gaming X is really superb. Have a look at that too before opting for the ASUS Strix.
