Would this be ok for Gaming?

Hi

as my CRT is on the Blink i have seen this deal on a Viewsonic N2010 20 LCD-TV! But can i use this for Playing games such as HL2 Farcry etc. if so how would it compare to my old 19" Mitsubishi 930sb? If not is there a good 19" + TFT you can recommend?

Not a chance. This is a dog for gaming. 640x480 resolution, its a TV!!! It also has poor response time. This is NOT a gaming monitor. The new Dell 19inch monitor has had some good reviews. Personally I use a syncmaster 213T )21inch TFT) and I find it sufficient for gaming, but its a subjective issue, the only way you'l know if its ok for you is to actually experience it. (personally, I have played on this monitor hl2,ut2004 online,doom3,fs2004, farcry without hinderence), at the end of the day if you have the space you should prob stick with crt for quality/cost.

Appreciate that Tom! But as my CRT is going i think nows the time for a TFT! I have been looking at the Dell Ultrasharp 2001FP 20" on offer for under £400 "Hope they do Finance on that price"..would that be OK for gaming ?

Weird... my 19" Mitsubishi 930sb is also on the blink!!

I wish I could afford a 20" Dell TFT as a replacement, but I'll be lucky to get a 17" at this rate. 1280x1024 after 1600x1200!
