That is legit disgusting. Like of course the retailers were going to price gouge us too, because as much as they like to pretend "oh hey we're enthusiasts too we're in this together" no, absolutely not lol.
But this was surprising. Twice as much as retail is it ?
Scan are bundling theirs with CPUs and things to hide their gouging too. It's a shame because I was a bit of a fanboy when it came to Scan - I built my first PC from there, I'd drive the hour or so to it rather than get it delivered just so I could visit the store. But this whole thing..bah.
And ya I know, I'm naive etc, but it's not like I was expecting actual retail, but I thought..oh they'll scam us for 20, MAYBE 30%.
I guess this is another excuse to move to Amazon for PC parts (I know they're the worst for scalping and price inflation, but outside of this scenario, they're so far and ahead of retailers - "oh your motherboard is broke ? Send it back, we'll test it, get back to you in a while. Maybe" lol. Amazon you just return it and get a replacement the same day near enough)
