Gpu for 4K playback/Netflix/Prime etc

Hi Folks,

I need a gpu for my htpc. NOthing fancy. I am thinking a 1030, but £80 or so for it seems a bit of a rip off.....

Anyone know of any others that will playback 4k & 60hz with HDR passthrough etc? Either Nvidia or AMD.

I had hoped the shortage wouldn't impact the absolute low end so much. But, hopes and dreams are just that...

I am currently running my HTPC headless. However, I need to go into the bios to enable virtualization (so I can run Home assistant on it), but am unable to connect a monitor Otherwise I'd be happy to wait longer as running it headless is fine. But, I can't get into the bios without a gpu so....

Yep it's affecting all price ranges, suck up the £40 chafting and be grateful it's not £500 for a high end GPU. My recommended model is the Gigabyte 1030 with the small fan - it's single slot, and runs quiet, MSI variants with fans tend to have a high minimum fan speed (40% on my 1050 Ti which was very audible even at idle), or just get the passive version, but that is a dual slot design.

Some of the reviews say they never received the card in the picture. They did receive the GDDR5, but not gigabyte.
