gah! my ddm2k3 just halved!

i rebuilt my pc as per spec, latest drivers etc. got around 4800 in 3dmark2k3.

upped the cpu to 195*11.5, a little OC, got it to over 5000.

BUT: then built myt pc to be useable: apache, php, sql server, mysql, postregs, dvd authoring, photoshop, gimp, paint shop pro, burning, music, videos, clone, divx, ftp server, openoffice, MSoffice, 3 or 4 web browsers, 9 or 10 games, stlexp, iconpacker, etc, etc.

basically a functional computer.

but my 3dmark has just halved to 2400.

DOES anyone expect this?

its fairly annoying...

i was thinking of creating another partition on the raptor (how to do this without partition magic?) and using that JUST for games.

anyone recommend this if i do have a games boot, which os would you recommend? 98/2000/xp?

Harddrive shouldnt affect 3dmark03 at all.

Maybe something messed up your drivers?

hmm, i think you've got a point. i'll try installing cat3.6s again.
