Could this be interference with other equipment such as speakers?
This could be due to interference, or failing components. Try moving speakers or other devices that might interfere with the monitor (and are close to it) somewhere away. Make sure to check cable connections just in case. Degaussing also helps to re-align the tubes if you can't change the interference, and you're using a CRT. If it's an LCD, then there's probably something wrong with the auto-aligning software in the LCD and it might need replacing.
Like WingZero said, probably an interference with speakers or other electromagnetic source is causing the problem.
If moving the EMI source away is not solving the problem, probably your monitor is faulty.
You havn't stated how old is your monitor?
iiyama vision master pro 400 about 5\6 years old but fine when i booted up tonight

Same thing has been happening to my less then one year old Samsung SyncMaster 955 DF 19in monitor. It was fine all this time but now it intermittently shakes. However, it is on a 2 port auto KVM switch so I could conceivably blame it on that as well as EMI.
It came with a 3 yr warranty though so,….it’s all good,….
Maybe I’ll replace it with a 19in LCD,….
If, like you say, when you're booting, the monitor is just fine, you should check it after several hours. Maybe the problem is related to overheating of a faulty component inside the monitor.Originally Posted by RobTi
If you DO NOT encounter any problems when you boot, but after the monitor is ON for few hours the problems appear, I'm positively sure than something is bad in your monitor, especially as you said you already own it for 5-6 yrs.
Anyway, I hope I'm wrong, please update.
Before I bought the Samsung SyncMaster I had an HP 19in M90 (or something like that),….
It did the same thing with respect to the shaking but that was only a precursor. It would later develop a problem where the monitor would flash off for a second and then back on,….
In the case of the HP, I believe it was on issue with the monitors PSU.
