    AG Neovo TFT's

Its that time to upgrade again, and this time *shock horror* I am going for a pre-built system... only its a pre-built system from Scan

I have fallen in love with the AG Neovo LCD's and was wondering whats the *real* difference between the X-17AV and the F-417 ? The F-417 (Value) seems to be 12ms.. while the £200 more X-17AV is 25ms

Does anyone really know what the difference is?

    Cheers,

    Craig

    Differences between AG Neovo monitors

F-Series is our entry level model
F-417 is a 17" TFT monitor with 12ms panel. It comes with VGA connector only.

X-Series is our high-end model. It is not just a display device for PC. It can do more.
X-17AV is a 17" TFT monitor with 16ms panel. It comes with VGA, Digital, S-Video and Composite Video connectors. It uses Neo-V technology with a metal housing. (Hence £200 more than F-417)
Neo-V technology is a piece of glass with 6 layers of filters. It does enchance the image quality. Most important of all, the glass will protect the TFT panel from user damage. (Most common cause - pointing their figures at the panel and create a circular spot on the panel - YES, this does not cover under warranty - user will have to purchase new monitor) Also, glass is very easy to clean using normal cleaning materials. (No need to buy expensive solutions or cloths)
Unfortunately, glass does reflect and therefore it does put some people off.

Sample of usage on the X-17AV - Plug DVD player to the monitor directly and watch your favourite movie (NO PC requires)
How about X-Box or PS/2 devices? Plug directly to the monitor and start playing
We do not recommend Video Player (VHS).
    Two PCs with one monitor

For gamers - we recommend M-Series monitors. Both 17" and 19" are built with gamers in mind. It does not come with Neo-V technology but it has 12ms panel, VGA, Digital, USB Hub, USB Charging Port, Twin Speakers and two colours to choose from (Black or Silver)

Good luck and hope you will enjoy using the AG Neovo monitor.

    Quick question to you Robert:

Why don't you reccomend VCR connection?

    Will it cause damage?

Thank you very much for that Robert

I am able to buy the 19" M Series instead of the 17" X Series - tis a bit cheaper and for the extra two inches...

I am sorry to say this. VCR is old technology (Analogue) and therefore it does not perfrom well enough through Digital devices.

Let me give you an example - some VCR will display perfect picture on the monitor
some will not - image will be shifted either to the left or the right and cannot be adjusted to look good/acceptable to the user

This is why we do not recommend it.
