If it's a Pro VIVO, you should be able to flash it to an X800 XTPE (I've done it!), and for cooling whack one of the Arctic cooling solutions onto it, it'll keep it cool, and you can't compain with an XTPE!

the only thing is that the mod guides say you need a floppy drive.

Would a boot CD emulating a floppy do?

Be careful with stuff like this. It ought to do, but you need to be really confident and have the money for a replacement if it breaks. You should also research your PCB, core, etc are fully compatible and preferably find someone who's done the exact same thing already with success.

Booting from a USB key may also work (dunno about DOS on it though lol). You could probably even install dos on a spare hard drive lying about!

The arctic cooling (ati) 5 rev 2 silencer is very good (not silent though lol). If you have an asus x800xl like me, you cant use the card fan header, so you need a seperate lead (Also no dynamic fan speeds and fan speed monitoring).

    didnt really mind though !

Be very careful. I thought most lof the ATI cards overclock very poorly compared to the Nvidia ones.Use ATItool to test it. You will not notice a few frames per second. The arctic cooling is about £20.
