Sub £250 PCI Express Graphics Card

that time has come again, for a new graphics card upgrade! IM going to be upgrading my mboard at the same time as well from an MSI Neo2 Platinum to a ASUS A8N Deluxe, my current graphics card is a Sapphire 9800Pro.

Im trying to get a system together which will be able to play games in all their glory on my Dell 2005fpw, at that beefy res of 1680x1050, especiialy in cs and when the new NFS game comes out.

So im looking to spend a maximum of £250 on a graphics card which is going to be best at handling these games at the above resolutions, if that is at all possible!

The first card ive looked at is the BFG GeForce 7800 GT OC, which is about 240 notes from OCUK, ive also looked at the x850XT, is there any other alternatives out there?

Definitely go for the 7800GT.....I have the BFG one and it is a great card - especially at the higher resolutions (I also have a 2005FPW ).....my 7800GT replaced the 6800GT I previously had and tehre is a marked improvement at such resolutions......

Of course, with the 512MB 7800 (Ultra ?) due out very soon (7/11 ?) and apparently sporting 1.1ns RAM @ up to 1800MHz, perhaps the GTXs will be coming down a little too......
