you didn't say that, i was saying that because like you said, they ain't stupid they might optmise it but not to the extent that the ati cards get completely destroyed performance wise by nVidia

A lot of games "require" directX9, but dont use its features.
I dont think planetside uses any of the features, although im not 100% on it.
