Need an AGP card that will run on a SFF

Cant get a 9800 Pro or 9700 ro to run in the Aopen XC CUbe that we use for second gaming rig. Must be a PSU issue.

Anyone use a 9600 Pro or 9550 in a low psu machine?

Dont wanna buy one unless it works!

    Cheers

Strange I had an XC Cube (Socket 478) and it ran both my 9800 Pro and 9800 SE AIW. The latter card is still in the XC Cube it at my brothers house with no problems.

The cube needed an extra molex connector doubler due to all the molexs being taken. I thought the PSU was rated at 250W and many ppl have had faster more oiwer cards in there.

The 9800 pro was a Saphire card as was the AIW.

What else are you running in the machine? If you disconnect the optical drive and hdd does the unit post?

Another option would be to use a 6600gt? The dont require the extra power the 9800 does?

I never thought of taking off the optical drive. I'll do that later to check out the drain factor.

It posts anyway...it just reboots in Windows! I haven't got a floppy in it either!

    Just a HDD.

The card that failed is a 9500 Pro bios modded to 9700Pro. It has the small floppy power connector, rather than a hdd style molex tho
