Having read through a few 7600GT reviews, it seems that maybe a good clock speed CAN nail the opposition (from nVidia and ATI) with more pipelines and/or a wider memory controller architecture (128bit vs 256 bit)
Now: Am I reading that right? That 7600 GT has only 8 piplines, and a 128bit mem controller BUT has 700 DDR= 1400 memory?
ANd with a core at 560MHz what am I seeing?
Is it like the 9500Pro's of old being replaced with 9600Pro that had a muchos higher core but in real life, didn't run the games as well?
I admit to befuddlement,.
But I am getting on a bit?
