    Viewsonic VX2025 - opinions?

I'm in the market for a flat panel monitor, and I've been eyeing up the Viewsonic VX2025. I'm interested in:

    1. Any opinions on it
    2. Can I drive it with my 9800 Pro (decent framerates a secondary priority, but not to be discounted)
    3. Is the dell 1907fpw a better buy (£70 cheaper)

Bought one on Friday - very happy with it so far. But then I was using an old Sony 15 inch flat panel before...

It runs fine on my 9800XT - picture is lovely and sharp using the DVI port. Half Life 2 was slugish at 1680x1050 but ran fine at 1280x720 (or something like that). I was suprised that the picture looked so good at a non-native resolution.

As for the dell - no idea, never seen one int the flesh.

Thanks Kensia, the non-native resolution question was what I was concerned about. To be honest I think the situation is that I'd really like a 20 incher, but suspect I'd get better value from the Dell.

What would be ideal would be a 19" capable of 1600 x 1200, but running decently at 1280 x 1024 (not much eh?).

    think the dell 2001fp does 16x12? 20" 4:3 screen.

*edit: I brielfy owned a dell 2005fpw (refurb - turned out to have 2 faulty rows of pixels ) and my 9800pro managed 1680x1050 okay for ConditionZero. I imagine HL2 and FEAR etc would require non-native resolutions unless you like playing with blocky lumps

On a related note I read somewhere that the LCD/TFT market is expected to drop it's prices quite a lot come May/June this year. I'm holding out for a shiny new cut-price 20" widescreen myself!

I have gone through 3 Viewsonic VX724's over the last few weeks as all of them have been faulty! Gutted really as Viewsonic are ace TFT's. (Normally!)

There are a few user reviews of the monitor here. I have to say that if I were going to get a widescreen display tomorrow it would the ViewSonic.

I have a ViewSonic VP2030b driven by a 9800 Pro and old socket A Athlon 3200+ and it is utterly gorgious. I am holding off a new computer build as there is soooooo much coming soon I may leapfrog Socket 939......... (or bag an end-of-life bargain when the new stuff has made it's impact).

However you should also have a look at the Belinea 10 20 35W, it is a really good performer - particularly for gaming - at a very good price.
Try to make each and every day the best it can be.
