    LCD Monitor Is All Blue!?

A friend of mine left my monitor displaying the desktop (blue sky) on for about 8 hours!!!!! It is a GNR LCD 17", nothing special was about £150. Anyway I came back to it and everything is all blue, I cant change the settings in the monitor control panel either. Erm can this happen to TFT's because I thought it couldn't ? Or do I need to buy a new monitor

If it's stuck pixels then try running hte pixel fixer video at http://www.psp-vault.com/Article168.psp
I've not tried it myself but I've got a single stuck blue one which I'm going to try a different app (UDPixel) on tonight.

it should go away after a while. Is it just a blue tint? or is the whole thing blue? if its the latter check all your connections etc.

Why ask if you're gonna go and buy a new one before you get the answers?

You have checked the connection is secure on the back of the PC haven't you? If it's d-sub its very possibly a loose cable.

yeh thanks, i even put a new cable in - no joy! Its not getting one bit better, I cancelled the other monitor and im going to try and RMA it then! The really weird thing is, is that when you press 'auto calibrate' it goes perfect (no blue) nice and bright, then goes back to normal! So that looks like a hardware fault im sure i can get a replacement!
