Sapphire X1950XT 256Mb...(not XTX/512Mb)...

These came out of nowhere it seems!

Seems to be same speed and core and the XTX 512Mb but I suspect with 256Mb DDR3 @ 1800Mhz, compared with 512Mb DDR4 @ 2000Mhz (althought Scan says DDR4, OCUK says DDR3...)

Now the interesting bit is the price...

How noisy is it in 3dmark?

It seems fairly reasonable to me - I'm using a Akasa case, with 2no Akasa amber 1400rpm 120mm low noise fans, Coolmaster Hyper48 heatsink/fan/ first gen Tagan 480W psu. There is moderate noise from the rest of the system, it's not quiet, but it's acceptable to me. I'll probably dabble with reducing the volts to the fans at some point.

By the way Scan are now selling this card for £179. I read the X1950XTX gets about 6800 points in '06 so I'm considering this a very good result for the money.

Thanks. It's ok value for money - I'd prefer the x1950pro as this card probably isn't a lot faster than the x1900xt 256 that's only 170 quid. But with all my problems getting hold of a x1950pro I've gone and ordered one of these noisy beasts.
