    22" Iiyama E2200WS

Has anyone actually got one of these monitors? I have seen some reviews on the web but have not actually been able to find some user comments on them. I will primarily be using it for gaming and was hoping someone could comment on it.

I currently have an old 17” CRT so this would be a nice upgrade for me.

Yes I have had one for several weeks.

I upgraded from a 17" CRT and do not regret it.

How does it feel in comparison to the 17” CRT. My trusty CRT has done me well over the last 6 years. I have two LCDs at work which are only 17” models and they are quite nice to use all day, the text is nice and clear and there is no flickering, but I have never used them to game with.

Also, how big is it width wise, not the diagonal. How much desk space would I need to fit two of these on my desk at home. Having dual monitors at work has spoiled me.

I find it is only clear @ 1680 x 1050......I don't game much as my machine is a DAW primarily.......I have played a couple of games on it and it is fine.

I am at work atm so am unable to measure the screen which I have hooked up on one of these now http://www.new-monitors.co.uk/fulldetail.asp?ID=168
so mine takes up no desk space whatsoever.

Nice, but that is one expensive stand. So basically you have to run the screen at the native resolution for it to look any good? That is fine by me.

As with all TFTs the native resolution looks sharpest.
I have only ever run it @ 1680 x 1050 - I can't see the point of running anything less tbh.

The POST messages are suitable for the visually impaired though

I'm contemplating whether I should buy this one or the Dell 2007 WFP (20inch). They both come up to £260 because of dell's offer.

Is it worth sacrificing the extra two inches so as to go for a more recognised brand, seeing as I haven't heard of Iiyama much?

I'm considering this Iiyama as well - with one of the nice Ergotron monitor stands (so I can get it rotating for web work )
