Yea I wanted to put it off until the end of the month cos that's when i'm getting all my pc parts but I ordered on 10th so as to get extra 5% off.
Received my 2007WFP today, and WOW! im impressed, I didnt realise how bad my old monitor was. I didnt bother calling to barter in the end just paid the £275. Its also solved an issue that I had with really bad sound distortion I had through my soundcard with my old monitor. Tis great!
Havent played any games yet, Im in hangover mode atm
My setup now http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger...d-5-784551.jpg
Nice setup
lol yeah, I still live at home with the parents and theres no free plugs available for me to plug it into in the bathroom, doh!
hmm, nope can do sorry, I believe my old monitor is lying at the bottom of a rubbish tip somewhere about now lol.
I was also looking at the 2007wfp, but i've also spotted the E207WFP, again 20" but faster response time and less money. I can't really see the difference between this and the 2007wfp, so was considering going for that one. See that they also have a new 22" E228WFP. Not quite convinced with the 22" resolution argument, so I might leave it. Anyone any ideas what the big difference between the 207wfp and the 2007wfp? Any help, greatly appreciated!
I believe the E207WFP is a TN panel whereas the 2007WFP is S-IPS:

Colour is supposed to be noticeably better on the 2007, but it is also reported to suffer horrible banding when used via DVI - not good...
The 2007WFP is the better monitor as it has various inputs for consoles, etc, the response time in all honesty is negligable as the 2007WFP has a better quality screen in itself and I notice no signs of ghosting.
I use DVI and notice no banding at all, I believe that was on the older AO1 models.
cool, what about the samsung ones? I know their T.V.s are kicking some ass at the moment, and i'm sure Dell use their panels as well. Ayone heard anything good about them. Really like the 20" NEC display as well, but too much money! I'm using a 19" 4:3 Nec panel and it rocks!
If I bought one of these and used it as a extended display, with a primary 4:3 display, would adopt the properties of the 4:3, or would it be able to show word documents etc in widescreen? I know its a strange question, but it would be handy to use with my work laptop as well, which is an older one with a 4:3 screen.
Firstly, the graphics in the machine would have to support a 1680x1050 resolution for external displays. Secondly, it must be able to support dual screens running with independent resolutions. Assuming that, no reason why not. What laptop is it, and what graphics, please?
