how do you know its the southbridge overheating thats causing the crashing?

its been a major issue for the KD7 on the abit forums
and after installing everything over again in a recommended order, this was the only thing i could imagine it being as it runs fine for a while ( sometimes faultless ) or sometimes in a hotter condition is just blacks out.
