Seriously tho guys, any stability issues with this driver, what would you guys say is the best cat driver for a 9700np?
hi there,,which is the best drivers for gaming please,,i just bought a powercolor9800 (which mysteriously shows as a pro) which shipped with 3.2 cats but ide like to know which 1,s are most reliable in games.
im new to radeon as ive mainly always been nvidea so im not sure,i also have a wierd problem which i noticed on my 9500pro about 8 months ago with this card where when u power up the machine just before windows loads the monitor turns off for a split second then back on,,has any1 else had this?
originally by unts:
edit: Doesn't look like it unbreaks the CnC Generals issue - guess I'm stuck with 3.7 still.
unts could you please gimme any info about this error as ive noticed since changing to my 9800 from a ti4200 that i get a serious error when im playing in a game of generals or zero hour, ive tried a couple of different drivers but i cant get rid of it.
thnx in advance
micovwar - In Generals I get some serious graphical errors - textures not being displayed, clipping errors and so on. This is well documented on all CnC related forums - the 3.7 cats are the most up to date drivers that don't have the problem. Any newer ones seem to have the problem.
It's all well saying just use those, but that means fixes in newer versions of cats for other games I might have are pretty useless, unless I'm forever swapping drivers.
It's stupid that there isn't a patch to fix this!
