Connecting 6800gt to HD LCD Tv

I want to connect my pc with a 6800gt gfx card to my HD Lcd tv,it has a dsub connector and 2 hdmi connectors.Would there be much difference using dsub cable or a dvi to hdmi cable?

my tv has both vga and dvi and there is a marginal difference in quality between them with dvi being the better of the two, the main difference and why i would recommend it is dvi/hdmi sets the picture up pretty much perfect and means u dont have to mess about with the colours controls etc.
