    need help with my LCD

i have just bought my new Sony Bravia LCD which has all the ouputs at the back that you normally can find in a normal Hi-Def LCD. i also happen to have a Surround Sound Speaker with a Coaxial and an Optical output at the back and i currently have the Humax HDCI-2000T freeview box as i happen to be one of the HD Trialists in London. i don't know how can i put my question into words but... how can i make use of the Coaxial or Optical ouputs so i can fully experince the Dolby sound that is coming out of my box? or with my Sony Bravia LCD? do i need a cable that can connect my box to my surround sound? or a cable to connect with my Sony LCD? what cable exactly do i need? pls help.....

you'll need an spdif cable as that's the connector on the Humax - what are you trying to connect it to? You'll need to be using either a sound card with a spdif in or a surround processer with an spdif in.

in response to Stevie B the outputs are as ffs:
    1. Antenna In
    2. Loop Out
    3. USB host
    4. TV Scart
    5. VCR Scart
    6. Audio L/R
    7. Video
    8. HDMI (which is currenly connected to my Sony LCD)
    9.RS-232C (connects to the PC)
10.S/PDIF which says "outputs the digital signals"
    11. On/Off

    so, where to?

Yes, it would output whatever format has been selected. This will depend on the broadcast (i think only Sky uses 5.1)and most likely the menu settings on the device.
