Problem: Installing monitor driver (LG 204WT)

HI All,

Have recently bought a new monitor (LG 204WT) but can't seem to install the inf driver for the monitor in the device manager.

When ever I try to update the current 'plug and play monitor' driver, I get an error saying the hardware could not be installed due to an error and invalid data. I have checked to make sure that the driver is correct - it is WHQL and has the correct model number and OS version.

I have had this problem with my previous monitor Viewsonic VP730 and just had to use the standard 'plug and play monitor' driver for that as well.

Can anyone help with installing this device. Thanks in advance.

Are you going via device manager or the display properties?
