Faulty HDD? using seatools in raid

Do i need to pull my drives out of RAID to run seagate seatools?

If i do, will seatools modify the data in any way?
Which is the best test to run?

You might do, it depends on the raid controller, if it's a real raid controller then yes, if not, you might get away with it. But you don't need to delete/destroy the array by any means.

do the quick test first, then the full test... you can run the drive test with the RAID controller enabled/disabled.. but if the controller is disabled, you wont be able to run the FAT/NTFS tests as the drive will be in two halves
